Why Musikgarten?
The Plan
Musikgarten is a pre-instrumental program. It offers a comprehensive, sequential plan for the musical development of your child from birth to age 9. Each of our 4 courses stands on its own and fits the development and needs of the child. Class time is educational, fun and purposeful.
The Teacher
Your Musikgarten Teacher is a highly trained professional with classroom and field experience in early childhood music education and child development.
The Curriculum
Musikgarten’s courses are based on meeting the developmental needs of children as they grow. Favourite songs, stories and dances are revisited throughout – building on what each child has mastered and enjoyed – making successful learning easier.
Family Packs for Reinforcement of Learning at Home
Musikgarten Family Packs are compulsory when you enrol your child for Musikgarten classes. They consist of CDs, guide books / activity books, (and simple instruments for some programs) to continue the bonding and fun of music with your child at home.
Upon completing the final level in Musikgarten, the children would have:
- Developed good aural skills (well prepared for Aural Tests in music exams).
- Developed Sight-Reading & Sight-Singing skill.
- Learnt how to do simple Composition, Transposition, Improvisation & Dictation.
- Learnt about Harmony, Chord Progression & Forms in Music, Composers & Music of different periods.
- Acquired the proper keyboard / piano skills.
They are well prepared & ready for individual music lessons.
